At our bilingual school in West Paris, there is no entrance exam and no academic record that rules a child out. After a visit, your child sits an assessment at the school in French, English, maths and science. The assessment is used to place your child in the right class and the right language pathway, not to select them.
Children who arrive without English, or without French, receive intensive support built into their week (EAL, English as an Additional Language, or FAL, French as an Additional Language). Entry is possible from the toddler class (TPS) to Sixth Form, and mid-year until May, depending on the class and available places.
Many schools in the Hauts-de-Seine offer a bilingual or international section; few take students all the way to English qualifications. At Open Sky International, English is a language of instruction in its own right. The pathway leads to GCSEs/IGCSEs and then A Levels, sat in our examination centre, accredited by Pearson Edexcel since 2022, which makes us one of the few schools in France to offer this.
Our students do not only sit GCSE English: they also sit GCSEs in 8 other subjects (French, Spanish, Business Studies, maths, physics, chemistry, biology, English literature).
GCSE/IGCSE results in 2026: students sit GCSEs/IGCSEs in 9 subjects. The 2026 results were excellent once again: 15% Grade 9 (England average: 5%), 55% Grade 9–7 (England average: 22%), 81% Grade 9–5 (England average: 52%).
A Level results in 2026: our first cohort in 2026, of which we are very proud: 33% of students achieved A*–A (England average: 28%) and 100% achieved A*–E (England average: 97%).
100% of the first cohort secured their chosen higher-education destination, from film school and design school to medical school. From September 2027, we will also offer the bilingual French-English IBDP (International Baccalaureate Diploma Programme)
A tour of the school while classes are in session, from preschool through high school.

Yes, from preschool to middle school, with EAL support built into their week. In middle school, EAL lessons are taught in small groups, and students follow lessons in both languages after 6 to 9 months. For Sixth Form (Year 12 and Year 13, 1re and terminale), a fluent level of English is required.
In an international section, the curriculum is French, with a few hours taught in another language. At our school, English and French are the two languages of instruction, every day, through to English qualifications.
